Bijolia is a town that is located in the Bhilwara district of the state of Rajasthan. The town is located in the southern region of the state and it is known for its various forms of art and architecture. Bijolia is an ancient town and inscriptions from around 1170 AD have thrown light onto the situation in the town at that period. The main attractions in the town are its fort and its temples. An old Shiva temple is located in the vicinity of the fort and this is an interesting place to visit. The temple has a finely carved arch that leads to the inner sanctum where the main idol of Lord Ganesh is kept. There are hundreds of small sculptures or lingas that can be seen in the place and this is the reason the temple is called the Hajaresvara. The fort also has a water tank that is considered to be holy.
