"Mu Ko Ang Thong is a marine national park in the Gulf of Thailand, on the shores of the Surat Thani Province. It covers 42 islands in a total area of 102 km², of which only 18 km² are land. The park was established on 12 November 1980. The northern tip of Ko Phaluai is also part of the marine park. There are Ranger Stations, Bungalows, Shop and a Restaurant at Ao Phi beach on Ko Wua Talap.You will find limited animal species there, 16 mammal, 14 reptile, around 50 bird and 5 amphibian species. Some of mammal species found there are dusky leaf monkey, leopard cat, long-tailed macaque, wild boar, fishing cat and smooth-coated otter. Few of bird species are white-bellied sea eagle, collared kingfisher, brahminy kite, black baza, eurasian woodcock, oriental pied hornbill, pacific reef heron and common hill myna.
