Nakoda ji is one of the popular Jain sanctuary of India.This holy tirtha is at a separation of 13 kms from Balotara Railway station and 1 km from Mewad city. It is arranged in the timberland in the slopes. In this tirtha with an enchanting characteristic air surrounding, we have a symbol of Mulnayaka Shri Parshvanath Bhagavan. It is dark in composition, 58 cms in stature and in Padmasana stance. The symbols is amazingly enchanting and inexplicable. The wonders of the directing divinity of this spot, Shri Bhairavaji Maharaj are understood. We have a reference which expresses that the old name of Nakoda was Virampur. It is said that in the third century before the Vikrama period, two siblings, Shri Virasen and Shri Nakoresen raised two towns Virampur and Nakorenagar at a separation of twenty miles. They likewise get developed two sanctuaries of Shri Chandraprabhu Bhagavan and Shri Suparshva Bhagavan.
